For me, local anaesthetic was ideal for circumcision. If 10 years older, would need a "hotline" for post-op queries and daily nurse to change dressings 1st 3 days. I still have tenderness of skin on right-hand side where stitches were, but dating back long before the procedure.

My only disappointment with the process is that I believed there was a 3 month final follow-up as part of the overall procedure. It is very disappointing to find that if I want this follow-up I need to pay a further £150. Surely the practise would want a 15 mins closure call?
