I had my gastric sleeve surgery on the 15th of July with Mr Agrawal. Mr Agrawal was so informative from the minute I first made contact with him. He has always reassured me that he is available to contact should I have any queries. I was very unsure who was the best surgeon to go with when I first looked into having this surgery however I felt Mr A stood out from many others and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with how well I’ve been taken care of since first point of contact. After struggling with my weight all my life I felt I had no other options than to seek medical intervention. I was highly recommended to Mr Agrawal and from the 1st consultation he explained the whole process and challenges that come with the gastric sleeve. All risks and complications were clearly explained and not at any point did I feel that the procedure was being pushed on to me. Each step of the way was explained to me and any questions that I had(there was a lot) were answered clearly to me. I had my gastric sleeve surgery at Spire London East hospital on the 9th June 2022 and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. From my first consultation with Dr Agrawal up until now (7 weeks post op) everything has been great, I can call/email my dietician and Dr Agrawal and they respond very quickly and are always there to help when I need them. When I went to my first consultation, Dr Agrawal suggested I join the Facebook support group, which I did and I found it incredibly helpful and still do! There are members that are thinking of getting surgery, in the process, have had surgery and are weeks/months and years post op. The support group got me through every process, any questions I had people were always there to advise and help me where they could. I highly recommend joining it. I’m 21 years old and have had problems with my weight for years, I had googled weight loss surgeries and Dr Agrawal explained the options and I decided the gastric sleeve was the best option for me. Surgery day came and everything went amazingly. The nurses were brilliant. I met with the anaesthetist, who was also brilliant and that was it, down to the theatre room I went. I cannot express how Dr Agrawal and all the nurses there helped me stay calm and kept me relaxed. The moment I woke up there was a nurse and my mum waiting for me. I was still a bit out of it because of the general anaesthetic but other than that I felt fine. I am aware that everyone’s experience is different but I would go through it a million times over because of how great I feel now. My life has already changed for the better and i am genuinely so happy with my decision to have the surgery and my choice to go with Dr Agrawal. I weighed 17.2stone the day before surgery and I now weigh 14.8stone (7 weeks post op). Dr Agrawal is so lovely and whenever I saw him in the hospital after surgery he would throw me a thumbs up and check I was okay which meant a lot. I highly recommend Dr Agrawal, he has done an amazing job and has helped me kick start a healthier and happier life.

My experience with Mr Agrawal has been exceptional. On detailed advice on all of the pros and cons of any bariatric surgery I decided to have the gastric sleeve procedure. This was to help me regain control of my weight and health, and I believed Mr Agrawal was the best surgeon to help me with this. Mr Agrawal’s requirements are strict but I was happy to comply to get the best results. I had very little discomfort after the procedure and the recovery time after the operation was very quick. The results I have had at now three months post op have been amazing and I am very happy with my decision to have surgery. I have used the Rivers Hospital on several occasions for other procedures, so I felt happy and confident to use them again. My care at all stages was second to none.

I was given a bad assessment by my GP and given a prescription that did nothing. However once I saw Dr Ramsay he assured me that my prognosis was not so bad and gave me the correct drugs and within days I was feeling much better. Nice guy and approachable
