Professor Alan Salama

Professor Alan Salama is a highly skilled, London-based consultant nephrologist with special interests in autoimmune diseases including systemic vasculitis and glomerulonephritis and polycystic disease. 

After graduating from the University of Oxford, professor Salama completed his training in London at Guy’s Hospital, the Hammersmith Hospital, and The Royal London. He later went to the USA and gained experience at Harvard Medical School undertaking post-doctoral research.

Professor Salama is actively involved in research into renal inflammation, glomerulonephritis, and systemic vasculitis, and renal transplant and has published widely, appearing in over 100 peer-reviewed journals.  

He has wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of renal care and transplantation and offers superlative patient care and the most up-to-date treatment.
