Dr Haifa Eldew

Dr Haifa Eldew is a dedicated consultant physician based in London, specialising in Internal Medicine and with a special interest in Hepatology. She practises privately and is recognised for her expertise in managing acute medical conditions, chronic liver disease, MASLD (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease) FIB4 and FibroScan and autoimmune liver disorders. Dr Eldew provides thorough, evidence-based care tailored to each patient, combining medical precision with a patient-centred approach.

She holds an MBBS from the University of Khartoum and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London). Her postgraduate qualifications include a Master’s degree in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Gastroenterology. She has a strong track record in managing complex liver conditions, including, NAFLD/NASH, chronic liver failure and autoimmune hepatitis, is skilled in a wide range of diagnostic and procedural interventions such as ultrasound and paracentesis

Dr Eldew is also a respected clinical leader and educator, accredited as a FAMUS (Focused Acute Medicine Ultrasound) trainer. She supervises and supports trainee doctors, medical students, and multi-disciplinary teams, promoting high standards of patient care. Known for her calm, clear communication, she helps patients understand complex medical information and make informed decisions about their health.
