Body fat set point
Descripción:
Prof le Roux, an obesity expert from University College Dublin, explains why some people find it very difficult to lose weight even though they work very hard. The reason he explains is due to our bodies having a body fat setpoint that which is different in each individual, it may be possible to change how much fat we carry when we go on a weight loss intervention but once that intervention is stopped i.e. we stop dieting or stop exercising, or ever stop taking the weight loss medication, our body fights to push the fat we lost back on to its original setpoint.
