my experience was poor with Mr Sharma, I consulted him in a devastating situation with a cat bite to my hand with tenosynovitis and a dysfunctional hand. In 10 minutes I was out of his consulting room being interrupted several times. No empathy and no 2nd opinion input given

Mr Frampton performed my laparoscopic cholecystectomy in June 2024. I cannot recommend him enough as my whole experience was nothing but positive. His secretary Sarah was incredibly responsive to emails and was able to offer an array of suitable appointments, with very little notice. When I met with Mr Frampton he was so friendly and explained all elements of the procedure; I therefore went into the operation fully informed and completely at ease. He also called me at home over the weekend to check on my recovery, which I really appreciated. Following my operation my recovery was extremely straight forward; I was off all pain medication within a couple of days and driving after 7 days. My scaring is already looking fantastic. I was referred to Professor Frampton when I had jaundice and I am exceedingly thankful I was. He was confident, experienced, caring and very patient. After the initial successful treatment to remove a stone blocking my bile duct Professor Frampton recommended the removal of my gallbladder something I was reluctant to do. He listened to my concerns but identified possible complications if it was not removed. I was still hesitant but events took over and it was clear I had to proceed with the surgery. Further scans and x-rays were carried out and I was admitted to the Nuffield Hospital Guildford for a routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy. I was initially nervous but prior to surgery Professor Frampton spoke to me and was very reassuring. I knew I was in extremely competent hands which was a good thing as he later told me that the surgery had been very challenging due to the condition of my gallbladder, possibly due to my delaying surgery. Surgery took considerably longer than normal, involved an on-table cholangiogram, but it was successfully completed by a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. I was discharged the following day and next day, Sunday morning, Professor Frampton, phoned me to check how I was. Four days later I was able to dispense with painkillers and two weeks later I was given the all clear after a follow-up appointment with him. By then for me it was like the whole thing had never happened. I cannot thank or highly recommend enough Professor Frampton and his theatre team.

I am so grateful for Mr Frampton’s help for my father. I first took dad to see Mr Frampton thinking there was a hernia problem. He helped us rule it out and identified an early stage pancreatic cancer which would have otherwise been missed by others. Mr Frampton and his team are warm, professional and caring and extremely good at what they do. I particularly appreciate the responsiveness and great communication (my dad doesn’t speak English) from both Mr Frampton and Sarah his secretary. They kept me well informed through out, which enabled us to make decisions quickly. We then swiftly moved onto surgery to get the tail of the pancreas and the spleen removed - it was a great success and dad is out of the hospital feeling much better. We will then move onto chemo after a few months. The whole experience so far has been world class - I would 100% recommend Mr Frampton.

I contacted Professor Imam, after my previous surgeries on the NHS had not been very successful. My physio asked me to go private for a 2nd opinion. I was prepared to travel a long way for the right surgeon. Professor Imam was brilliant. An MRI found several other issues and surgery had to be completed. Professor Imam explains everythinh really well and is such a nice man. The surgery was a success and the post-surgery pain was minimal (compared to my previous surgeries elsewhere).
