Mr Christopher Hulme is a UK- and Australian-Fellowship-trained trauma and orthopaedic surgeon in Ashtead who specialises in spinal surgery. His practice involves all aspects of spine surgery, with particular interest in cervical spine pathology.
Mr Hulme undertook his undergraduate studies at King’s College, University of London where he completed an Intercalated BSc in basic medical sciences and immunology. He obtained his postgraduate surgical training in London, West Midlands (basic surgical training) and the South West Thames higher specialist surgical training. Mr Hulme undertook his spinal fellowship training in Cardiff and Frenchay Spinal Units and spent a year at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia as Clinical Spinal Fellow with Prof Michael Ryan, Dr Ian Farley and Dr Stephen Ruff.
Mr Hulme supervises the training of foundation, core trainee and higher surgical trainees within the South West Thames region. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the British Orthopaedic Association.
He is currently also the Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedics at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust.
