Mr Christos Tolias is a leading neurosurgeon based in London. Practising at the London Neurosurgery Partnership and King's College Hospital, where he serves as clinical lead for neurovascular surgery, he specialises in vascular problems of the brain and in spinal problems that cause sciatica, arm pain and back pain. In 2006 he became the first surgeon in Britain to carry out a non-occlusive cerebral vascular bypass operation, his team re-routed the blood supply within the brain of a patient with a life-threatening aneurysm using a vein graft using the ELANA technology developed in Holland. He has been accredited with a Neurovascular Clinical Training Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons and a Clinical Fellowship in Neurosurgery (USA).
