Mr George Voyatzis is a highly skilled and experienced consultant ophthalmic surgeon, based in Moorfields Eye Hospital. He specialises in cataract and lens-based surgery with an enviable record for safety, patient satisfaction and outstanding results.
Mr George Voyatzis graduated from Athens Medical school, Greece with a First Class Honours Degree in 2000. Following the completion of his military service with the Greek Air Force, he was awarded a prestigious scholarship to train in ophthalmology in the UK.
He undertook his training in London and Cambridge. After completing his residency, he sub specialised for a further two years in complex cataract and corneal surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
In 2014 he accepted the post of consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Peterborough & Stamford NHS Foundation Trust where he was the clinical lead for the cataract service. In 2018 he joined the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital where he regularly deals with complex cases and treats patients referred from other clinics or hospitals.
Being passionate about vision correction, George offers a warm, objective and approachable service to his patients. With expertise in all fields of cataract and refractive lens exchange, he uses the latest available technologies to provide optimal results for his patients.
