Mr Georgios Orfaniotis is a board-certified and internationally-trained London plastic surgeon specialising in complex reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. His areas of expertise include facial reconstruction; head and neck reconstruction; aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body; skin cancer excision and reconstruction and microvascular free flap surgery. He is one of the very few surgeons in the UK who has undertaken three years of advanced international fellowship training before starting his consultant career.
Mr Orfaniotis graduated in 2002 from the University of Thessaloniki, Greece and went on to train in specialist reconstructive and aesthetic surgery around the world, including at several pioneering UK units: Canniesburn Glasgow, East Grinstead and St Thomas’ Hospital. He completed three years of international fellowship training win cutting-edge plastic surgery centres including Taichung, Taiwan and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia. Additionally, he consolidated his cosmetic surgery training with a prestigious aesthetic fellowship at the Wellington Hospital in London.
Mr Orfaniotis won a travelling fellowship award from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has also volunteered in Ethiopia as a surgeon where he performed life-changing reconstructive surgery for people suffering from facial deformities. As well as an interest in cancer reconstructive surgery, Mr Orfaniotis treats secondary facial deformities following former surgery, cancer treatment or trauma.
