Dr Iqbal Malik is an outstanding cardiologist based at London Cardiovascular Clinic on Harley Street. He specialises in angioplasty, TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation), and closure of holes in the heart, such as atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO).
A highly qualified and experienced specialist, Dr Malik graduated from Cambridge and trained in London. He completed a PhD in vascular biology at the Hammersmith Hospital, where he was appointed as a consultant in 2003, and is now the lead for structural heart disease as well as the Heart Attack Centre (HAC) program.
Dr Malik is actively involved in research, particularly into coronary artery disease and structural heart disease. He has been involved in conducting many clinical trials, and was a founding member of the International Centre for Circulatory Health (ICCH) - a centre of research excellence at Imperial College London.
