Professor James McCaul is an internationally renowned consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a successful career spanning over 20 years. To date, he has achieved 13 national and international awards.
Professor McCaul has exceptional skill in all areas of facial surgery. Throughout his career, he has published numerous research papers on facial surgery, facial trauma, facial reconstruction, head and neck cancer and facial plastic surgery. He has also presented his work nationally and internationally. Additionally, in 2018 he published his own book titled 'Face to Face: True stories of life, death and transformation from my career as a facial surgeon'.
Within his private practice, Professor McCaul offers a holistic approach to all areas of facial surgery. As a provider of anti-ageing procedures and cosmetic plastic surgery, patients seek out his expertise on face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, chin surgery, eyelid surgery, botox, fillers, chemical peels, laser resurfacing and the removal of facial lesions, among more rejuvenation and cosmetic procedures.
What's more, he provides surgery for skin cancer and head and neck cancer, as well as oral surgery for wisdom teeth removal, TMJ disorder and disorders of the salivary gland.
After completing his training in medicine and dental surgery at the University of Glasgow, Professor McCaul underwent extensive specialist training in Scotland, London and Miami. In 2005, he obtained his PhD in head and neck cancer. He then practised as a consultant surgeon in Yorkshire from 2006 for eight years, followed by several years in London at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. He is an associate editor of the International Journal of Surgery and a reviewer for numerous renowned medical journals in facial surgery and head and neck cancer.
