Dr James Shelley is a highly experienced consultant dermatologist who is based in London. He founded and directs the Mohs micrographic surgery service for the West London Skin Cancer Network.
He frequently carries out mole assessments, is highly experienced in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, and also specialises in general adult dermatology. Dr Shelley's clinical interests also include psoriasis, skin infections, eczema, tropical skin conditions, certain rare skin diseases and acne.
Dr Shelley undertakes skin surgical procedures such as excision of moles, cysts and other skin lesions, skin cancer excisions (including Mohs surgery), and cryotherapy for warts and pre-cancerous skin lesions.
He divides his time working at the BUPA Cromwell Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He's in charge of the Imperial College undergraduate dermatology course and Service Director for the Dermatology Department at Chelsea and Westminster.
