Mr Joby John is a highly experienced trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based in East Midlands. His main areas of interest include ACL reconstruction surgery, knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery, knee injuries, partial knee replacement surgery, osteotomy surgery and revision knee replacement.

Mr John completed his initial training in India and later moved to the UK to train on the Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and Chesterfield rotation. He completed a range of knee ligament surgery fellowships in both the UK & France. He later went on to complete adult reconstruction fellowship training in Canada, where he gained experience in knee replacement surgery, revision knee replacement and osteotomy surgery.

Mr John completed a PhD in unicompartmental knee replacements. He is involved in research projects at Sharewood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He's won awards for his research and regularly attends lectures as an invited faculty. He is passionate about teaching and is an honorary assistant professor in orthopaedics at the University of Nottingham. He actively researches and actively participates in multicentre RCTs.
