Professor John Hollingdale is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon in London, who specialises in knee and arthroscopic surgery as well as hip replacement and reconstructive surgery. Over the years he has developed a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries, and has reached such a high level of proficiency that he has treated professional sportsmen from Arsenal Football Club and the London Irish rugby team. A highly skilled knee specialist, he is an expert in the repair of torn menisci and ruptured cruciate ligaments, among other joint injuries. Using advanced standards and new procedures he carries out around 250 knee replacements every year as well as around 40 knee revisions. As board member of Indo UK Institute of Health, he is involved in the building of twelve hospitals in India. He has been president of the International Society for technology in arthroplasty, and is presently the regional advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons covering the North London area.
