After enduring months of severe pain and being diagnosed with endometriosis, I was referred to Dr. Arambage by my previous consultant, who discovered during a laparoscopy that my case was particularly complex. Upon consulting with Dr. Kirana, I was immediately reassured by his expertise and compassionate approach. My condition was intricate, with endometriosis having spread extensively. Nevertheless, Dr. Kirana, utilizing his exceptional skills, performed the most effective surgical procedure possible. Today, five weeks post-surgery, I am delighted to report that I just completed a hike without any pain. I feel as though I have been given a new lease on life. In hindsight, I often wish I had consulted him earlier, as it would have spared me significant time spent in discomfort. I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Kirana's help, as well as for his secretary, Fiona, who has always been available and easy to reach.

Thanks to Mr Arambage and his brilliant secretary, Fiona, I had a good experience during a recent uncertain situation, which I found quite complicated. They have been considerate, caring and knowledgeable and helped smooth the path to a resolution. They have answered calls and queries, at times outside of office hours and I have always felt heard. My thanks to them both.

A positive experience thank you to Mr Arambage. I was diagnosed with extensive endometriosis in May 2024 and had a total hysterectomy just two months later plus other procedures at the same time. Mr Arambage discussed the options available to me and he was very accessible when I had follow-up questions. Comfortable stay at The Manor Hospital and glad this surgery is now complete and my symptoms are relieved.

I had hysterectomy and endometriosis removal surgery with Mr Arambage 10 weeks ago due to adenomyosis and endometriosis and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received and the outcome of the surgery. From the first consultation with Mr Arambage I felt that he really cared about my health issues and took the time to listen to my concerns and explained my symptoms and what options I had clearly. I’ve been seeing serval gynocologist both privately and through the NHS and Mr Arambage is by far the most knowledgeable, respectful and compassionate specialist I’ve met. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone suffering from similar conditions.

I wish I had gone private earlier. I was on the JR waiting list with expected surgery at about 10 months from going on the list. Being in discomfort with an 8cm ovarian cyst I contacted the Manor Hospital and from the first enquiry to the surgery was exactly one month. Mr Arambage discussed the procedure with me in detail and I was confident that my problem would be sorted. The operation went well, with no complications, I stayed in overnight (my choice) and Mr Arambage came to see me the following morning together with the anaesthetist to explain that everything went to plan. Also, he has a lovely smile!

I have been in a great deal of pain for many years and finally I decided to do something about it. I met initially with Mr Arambage to discuss my history and we talked at length about my options. He was very understanding and not at all pushy - but put me at ease as I was very nervous. We decided the best course of action would be a diagnostic op to discover what was going on. I didn't have to wait long and had surgery on 28 May. I had extensive endometriosis which Mr Arambage removed. Mr Arambage came to see me following surgery and we discussed his findings and again he put my mind at rest. I have been so pleased with my treatment and recovery is going well. I would highly recommend Mr Arambage and his secretary Fiona - both are truly kind people who put their patients first.

Well, where do I start?! Mr Arambage is the kindest consultant I've ever spoken to, and he listened to everything that I had to say, including all of my concerns - something that I haven't experienced in 16+ years of treatment for endometriosis. I saw him privately as a mass was found on my ovary during a baseline scan for IVF treatment, and they weren't sure whether it was malignant or not. I booked a private MRI scan first, and then an appointment with Mr Arambage to discuss the results a week later. He explained everything fully, in an excellent amount of detail and reassured us very confidently that there was no sign of malignancy. Also after 16 years of investigations and treatment, I finally found out what grade endometriosis I have, and also found out that I have mild adenomyosis too. I now know what I need to do going forward, and feel very reassured that the pain and issues I've had over the years isn't just in my head - I feel validated, and I'm so grateful for that. Now on to his secretary, Fiona. Fiona is absolutely fantastic and so, so helpful. I think she's the best secretary I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to. She responded very quickly to my emails and was very patient with answering all of my questions. She even sent through my MRI report super quickly, so that I could have it for an NHS appointment I was having the next day. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend both My Arambage and Fiona to anyone experiencing difficulties with endometriosis or adenomyosis. Thank you again!

Mr Arambage is the best surgeon I've had ever due to his super personable and genuinely caring nature. He is so friendly and made me feel at ease from our first interaction. He made me fully aware of all that would happen and I also got written details of everything. He's always calming and kept my family up to date after my surgery. The follow up after surgery was also brilliant as all the details (and photographic evidence!) allowed me to fully understand and come to terms with what I'd been dealing and now no longer have to - which is crucial to my recovery mentally. I cannot thank him enough and he's also got one of the best laughs ever!!! Huge shoutout to his secretary Fiona! She is a G and amazing at her job!! Hands down the best secretary I've ever encountered! She was super quick to respond to my many emails and oh so patient! She made me feel calm and prepared for the surgery in a way I can't explain! All in all, a great team and I'm so thankful to them all!

Mr. Arambage is a world-class surgeon based in Oxford. It is strange to owe so much to someone I met for less than three hours: one hour for triage, and less than two for the hysterectomy itself. After suffering for years from adenomyosis and endometriosis, two days after the surgery I was almost completely pain-free – I didn’t even need a single Nurofen. My deepest gratitude to Arambage and his skilful surgical team.

From the first video call to discuss my current situation through to examination scans and surgery, Dr Arambage was completely professional, reassuring and made sure I understood my options and everything that was happening. He went out of his way to call me when I was worried a week before the surgery and explained everything that would happen and totally reassured me that all would be ok, so I proceeded with the surgery, I am only a week post op but the daily pains I had before the surgery have instantly gone, this is going to give me a new lease of life and means that i can sleep at night comfortably!! The care at The Manor hospital was also fantastic, all the nurses went out their way to help me, especially when I ended up having to stay in overnight and looked after me all night when I was unwell, not too scared to wipe sick from my face and racing in to help me, I didn't feel embarrassed at all considering the state you feel in after surgery being unable to do things yourself, changing pads and sick bowls you feel so unglamorous but the nurses felt more like friends helping you and that nothing was too much trouble. Mr Arambage also came to see me after the surgery and then called the next day, as well as booking in a post op followup in a few weeks time. His secretary Fiona is also very fast to respond and help with any questions you may have. Overall I would say a very positive, reassuring experience and I am so glad I proceeded with the surgery to be pain free.

It was my first time to see an OB-Gyne in UK and at first I’m not comfortable as Mr Kirana is not a female Doctor. Good thing, Mr Kirana didn’t give up on me and offered me options on how I would like to be treated. Eventually, I fully trusted Mr Kirana and feel a lot more comfortable. I have 4 fibroids and one of them was quite big (13cm). I also have adenomyosis and endometriosis. It caused me to bleed heavily for years making my life challenging as my I suffer with severe iron deficiency anemia and low hemoglobin. I need to have iron infusions frequently and blood tranfusion. Mr Kirana told me that he will remove my fibroids and he might open my CS scar to take the fibroids most specially the big one. But Mr Kirana did his best not to cut me open and done the procedure successfully by keyholes. I greatly appreciate how Mr Kirana handled my operation and did his best to remove my fibroids and insert Mirena to prevent me from bleeding again. Mr Kirana maintained professionalism and always looking after me. During the time that I need an iron infusion before my scheduled operation, he went personally to the Hospital to prescribed my IV iron and encouraged the Pharmacists to get my meds as early as they could so I will have the infusion and I will be ready for the operation. He explained very well what happened to my procedure and the pictures he took during laparoscopy. Having said all of these, I will highly recommend him to other patients who are looking for a professional, compassionate and caring Doctor. Thank you so much Doctor for restoring my body to almost normal functioning. May God always bless you so could help and save more patients in need.

He also visited me every day I was in the Manor hospital to see how I was doing. I cannot praise him enough. He clearly cares about his patients. Mr Arambage put me at ease from my very first appointment with him. He listened intently to everything I wanted to say and never rushed or dismissed me. He was extremely empathetic and had a caring and professional manner. Even after my op, when I got an infection, Mr Arambage insisted I came straight in to see him even though he was in theatre and the hospital had closed for the evening. He told me to wait for him and he'd see me as soon as his operation had finished. He was true to his word and saw me. He examined me and issued antibiotics straight away. I used to be in constant pain with stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis, cysts and blocked tubes. My hysterectomy was very successful and I feel like I now have my life back. Dr. Arambage performed a hysterectomy on my wife who had stage 4 endometriosis, multiple large cysts on both ovaries and adhesion between uterine wall and rectosigmoid. He came very highly recommended by Dr Kollipara (our previous gynaecologist) who we respect a lot. As our case was quite complicated we wanted somebody who is dealing with complex cases like ours on a daily basis. We saw few other consultants in thames valley area but were not very satisfied. The first appointment with Dr Arambage was a video call which lasted around one and half hour. The way he answered all our questions and concerns with a smile, drawing pictures and making sure we understand all the choices, we already knew he was the doctor we were looking for. The operation lasted around 4 and a half hours due to all the complexities but was well executed and went as per plan. The doctor gave detailed briefing and showed pictures after the procedure. During the 3 days at hospital, the doctor visited every day and checked the healing and any other issues. During the healing period after two weeks, my wife experienced some discomfort. It was bank holiday weekend but can’t thank Fiona enough (Dr Arambage’s secretary) who was responding to emails, trying to organize consultation and doing all she could to help. The issue luckily was quite minor and my wife is keeping well roughly 2 months after the procedure now. We are grateful to both Dr Arambage and Fiona for excellent service, professional care and wish them best in future. Happy to recommend them wholeheartedly to all patients who have complex endometriosis issues, ovarian cysts and hysterectomy requirements

I have been trying to sort out some gynae issues for a fair few years now and Mr Arambage’s gentle, no-nonsense, ‘let’s just get on and sort this’ attitude, helped by an incredibly efficient service brilliantly organised by his assistant Fiona Goulthorp, resulted in me having everything sorted within weeks. I was quite scared of the procedure; not just because of the ‘major operation’ descriptor, but because of what it meant to me as a woman. All the people involved, receptionists, consultants, anaesthetist, technician, nurses and caterers worked to make me feel confident and properly cared for. And a final shout out to Rita Pinto, a nurse in the pre op team at the Manor Hospital. She had told me I needed a PCR test & would have to go back into Oxford the next day. Having established this was no longer necessary, Rita took it upon herself to personally deliver an LFT to my front door - thank you Rita. And thank you to everyone involved in looking after me last week. You were all amazing.

After my surgery he kindly phoned my family to update them on how the surgery went, visited me and called when he couldn't come in person. He really goes above and beyond for his patients. I cannot thank him enough! I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone suffering with endometriosis. I am also thankful to Fiona for all the help arranging my appointments, quick response and sharing the information as needed.

I had read Mr Arambage's great reviews and bio so I had total confidence in him (even though I was nervous about the surgery itself). We had to do the initial consultations by phone because of Covid, but as soon as I met him in the hospital I found he radiated empathy and positivity - not always something I associate with medical scenarios! He listened carefully to me, answered all my questions, remembered my concerns and never made me feel rushed. I also noticed that the anaesthetist, when explaining possible side effects before the operation, said he had never known them occur with this surgeon; and a nurse later commented on how detailed and carefully written Mr Arambage's account of the operation was. He was outstanding in his care both before and after the operation, and I think really does live for his profession and speciality. I was originally referred to Mr Arambage through the NHS, but when it became clear that I would need to wait at least another six months for the operation, I decided to book it privately with him instead. He stressed that whether working for the NHS or privately, the treatment itself would be exactly the same.

I was very frightened before this procedure. However, Mr Arambage put me totally at ease and that made all the difference. I was able to feel that I was in control of my future, instead of feeling like a victim. I came to after the procedure feeling surprisingly well, and had no bleeding at all. I am now a week or so into recovery. I can't recommend Mr Arambage highly enough, and am grateful that he listened so carefully and was so reassuring.

I don't have enough words to recommend Mr Arambage highly enough. He is the third gynecologist that I have seen for my endometriosis, adenomyosis and PMDD. It has been a difficult journey, on which he and his equally wonderful secutary Fiona have supported me with kindness, compassion and effeciency. I have had two surgical procedures including a total hysterectomy with Mr Arambage, it goes without saying that he is an excellent surgeon. I am hopeful that my journey with Endometriosis ends here, but if not I take comfort knowing that I will be a in the very best hands. I really can't comment on points to improve as in my opinion there aren't any. All I would say to new patients is to be patient if Mr Arambage is running late - this is a very small price to pay for the 'above and beyond' level of care that he gives to his patients. Suffering from chronic conditions can feel relentless. At all times Fiona has been happy to help answer my many questions kindly and promptly. When things have been urgent, time has been taken to get me seen / spoken to as soon as possible.

Every review I read here , written by women like myself who suffered, women who desperately wanted to get their lives back , made me believe that Dr Arambage was the right surgeon for me. I appreciated the open discussion about my condition and the chance to explain my deep anxiety about having a hysterectomy. I was unbelievably well supported by everyone whom I can only describe as exceptional professionals. The care I have received was outstanding . I recommend Dr Arambage without hesitation.

For Context I am a in my mid-forties with an active lifestyle. At the time of the surgery, I was exercising 5-6 days every week. I had surgery to remove fibroids. I thought it would be better to write this review after I have had my six week post-operative review so as to have comprehensive picture of events. My experience with Dr. Kirana Arambage (Dr A as I fondly call him) is nothing short of a miracle. Right from how I got to know about him up until the time of writing. I had been on the NHS waitlist for over a year and was at the point where I needed to find a Doctor privately to address my health concerns. I heard about Dr A through a mutual friend of one of his patients. I spoke to the lady and she had only very good things to say about her experience with Dr A. She put me in touch with Dr A’s secretary Fiona. Initial Consultation Fiona was very pleasant and efficient and promptly arranged my initial consultation with Dr A. I was very impressed with the treatment plan proposed by Dr A. One of the reasons was that he assured me that he would be able to remove all the fibroids in one surgery. Doctors I had previously consulted with made it clear that I may have to undergo two separate procedures due to the locations and sizes of the fibroids. The other reason has to do with Dr A being an Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon which means that the surgery would be minimally invasive, I would have faster recovery times and be left with fewer scars. Dr A sounded very knowledgeable and empathetic. He listened to me, provided answers to all my questions and reassured me about my concerns. Speaking to Dr A, I felt like he cared about me as a human as opposed my being just a statistic (I had felt this way with one of my previous doctors) He was everything his previous patient spoke about and then some. This built my confidence and I went ahead and gave the go ahead for the surgery to be arranged. Pre-operation tests Since I live in Wales and Dr A is in Oxford, he arranged for me to go into the local Nuffield Health Hospital get all my blood tests and Covid test done. This meant that I didn’t have to travel to Oxford for these. The Surgery On the day of the surgery, I arrived at the Nuffield Health Manor Hospital in Oxford and was checked into my room. Dr A promptly arrived and went over the procedure with me. He went through all the things we had discussed during my consultation and the desired outcomes. He also discussed the procedure with my family member over the phone and agreed to keep them updated on the procedure and outcomes. While I was prepped for surgery, I casually asked the anesthetist (not really expecting it was going to happen) if it was possible to have the procedure recorded so that I could view it later. He said he would let Dr A know and would you believe I had a video recording of the surgery handed to me as I was discharged. My surgery took longer than planned once I was under general anesthesia but Dr A remained patient and ensured that he achieved all the outcomes discussed with me. All the while putting my safety above everything else. He also coordinated with the staff to keep my family members updated during surgery and at ease. Recovery When I regained consciousness I spoke briefly to Dr A before being wheeled to my room. I had adequate care from the nurses and resident doctor. The day after surgery, I was able to walk the length of the corridor at three separate times throughout the day. I had help taking a shower and was able to pass urine. I was given medications for pain and I had paracetamol over the first 24hours. By day 2, I was monitored regularly to ensure that I was recovering as I ought to and was given all that I needed where necessary. I had a bowel movement, was able to have a shower by myself and didn’t require any more pain medication to the surprise of the medical staff. I’m not entirely sure why but I wasn’t in any pain and honestly didn’t feel like I had major surgery. I sensed a bit of surprise from Dr A because he kept saying to me that I have just had major surgery. I’m thankful for him stressing that, otherwise I might have been tempted to return to my active lifestyle sooner than I ought to. The video recording (which I watched when I returned home) was also helpful for me understanding the extent of the surgery because I just didn’t feel like my body had been through that. I was discharged on day 3 and I made the journey back to Wales without any issues afterwards. Dr A kept in touch by telephone afterwards to ensure that I was recovering as expected. I have since had my monthly cycle and it’s more like what it was when I was in my twenties. I have also had my six week post-op review with Dr A and he is happy with my recovery. In summary, my experience with Dr Arambage exceeded all my expectations. He is a very skilled and compassionate surgeon. My recovery time was very short, the biggest incision on my stomach is one inch in length and my monthly cycle is back to ‘my’ normal. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Although I had to travel to Oxford for the surgery, I think it was worth it. I totally recommend his services to anyone in need of it.

I feel incredibly lucky to have seen Mr Arambage at the Manor Hospital. He conducted my successful excision surgery for stage 4 endometriosis with adhesiolysis and shaving of my bowel. It was quite a complex operation but through each step of the process Mr Arambage filled me with complete confidence, and it all went to plan. He is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, helped answer all of my questions and made me feel completely at ease - which is a hard task as I am a nervous patient. Each time I spoke with him he made me feel listened to and comfortable. After my surgery he kindly phoned my Dad to update him on how the surgery went. My stay in hospital ended up being longer than expected but Mr Arambage regularly checked in on my progress both in person and on the phone - he really went above and beyond to make sure I had a full recovery, and I cannot thank him enough! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Arambage to anyone with a similar health concern, and I will absolutely return to him in future should I need to. Easily the best doctor I have seen. I was lucky enough to have Mr Arambage recommended to me by my NHS Consultant, as I was able to use Bupa services. The first time I met Mr Arambage via a Zoom Call, I immediately warmed to him. Mr Arambage had been sent my scans & reports and explained exactly what he thought should be happening during the removal of my cysts & ovaries. He was especially concerned about my Endometriosis, which I hadn’t previously been made aware of, by other Consultants. My biggest worry was, that I would not be able to have keyhole surgery as my NHS Consultant was worried about scar tissue etc, but Mr Arambage gave me complete confidence that he would be able to carry out the operation by keyhole surgery, although he also explained the risks and obviously, if he would have to do more invasive surgery, he would deal with this. I’m very happy to say that everything went ahead successfully and I’m near enough back to full strength after 3 weeks. Mr Arambage did a fantastic job and the incisions are that tiny, that they are hardly noticeable. If I could choose my Gynaecologist in the future , it would definitely be Mr Arambage, he is a real specialist in his field.

That all changed when I found Dr. Arambage! He truly listened to all my symptoms and my long medical history. I cried tears of joy and relief after our first consultation. I had finally found a doctor that understood endometriosis. After a long discussion with Dr. Arambage I opted for a hysterectomy. I’m in my 40s and my family is complete. I was tired of putting plasters on the problem and it was time for something permanent. The surgery went very well. However from my first meeting with Mr Arambage he reassured me by listening carefully and answering all of my questions and addressing all of my concerns. He carefully explained each stage of the process in detail, from diagnostic scans, the surgery, recovery and after-care which I found really helpful. I had a total laparoscopic vaginally-assisted hysterectomy with Dr Arambage in Sept 2020. I had a telephone consultation first where Dr Arambage listened and gave me his advice, following a transfer of my case from another consultant. I had previously had a diagnosis of adenomyosis and endometriosis and was trying the Mirena coil but after 12 months and an earlier laparoscopy, I felt I wasn't seeing much improvement. Having tried other medications and pain killers in the past, we agreed that a hysterectomy may offer me a more longer term solution for my pain and bowel problems (period related). I was very nervous but Dr Arambage and his team helped put me at ease (as too did his secretary Fiona, the day before surgery). He is a very knowledgeable, professional and kind doctor, who genuinely wants to help and I do feel lucky to have been a patient of his. Three months on, and although recovery has been tough, I am feeling more positive with much reduced pain. My bowel pain so far has also been so much better, now that I am nolonger having periods. I am aware endometriosis can come back, but I'm feeling more hopeful about the future. Thank you Dr Arambage and Fiona. I'm so grateful to Dr. Arambage for his care, expertise and professionalism following my recent hysterectomy. During an initial consultation in 2019, I saw another consultant gynaecologist who informed me about the different options to treat / resolve the symptoms caused by very large fibroids. I chose to have a hysterectomy but wanted to have it done laparoscopically, if possible. My case was referred to Dr. Arambage given his expertise in laparoscopic surgery. Due to Covid, I didn't actually meet Dr. Arambage in person prior to the day of my surgery however when we did meet on the morning of the operation, we discussed what I wanted, he answered any outstanding questions I had and explained in detail how he would perform the operation. The operation was quite involved due to the size and placement of the fibroids and surgery took 5 hours (which was much longer than expected). Dr. Arambage performed the operation laparoscopically with a small bikini cut which is exactly what I had expected. He called my family after the operation to reassure them that the operation had gone well and the following day he talked me through the details and showed me some photos from the operation. Dr. Arambage is a very kind and considerate doctor who takes the time to listen to his patients and put them at ease. He is clearly an expert in his field and is very highly regarded by other members of staff at the hospital. I went to see him in a state of emotional distress, during a time of global distress, in very strange circumstances and he installed a moment of calm into me. He was the first doctor that i have seen to find a remedy or relief from my PMDD that actually told me NOT TO DO ANYTHING! Every other specialist i have seen has advised I change something or try something new but not Mr Arambage. He was empathic, he listened, he normalised, and he quite simply said his advise was to do nothing for the time being. I loved that he owned his advise too. What a wonderful Doctor. Having been lucky enough never to have had to be treated in hospital I was an incredibly nervous patient. Mr Arambage was patient and kind and went above and beyond the call of duty to reassure me. Calling to discuss the procedure and getting his anaesthetist Dr D’souza to call me to explain the process for general anaesthesia. He couldn’t have been kinder on the day and explained everything fully. Even though I was very nervous I always felt like I was in very capable hands.

Mr Arambage took the time to listen to all my concerns. He asked a lot of questions about my symptoms and the way I had been misdiagnosed over the years. He knew exactly how to proceed with treating my stage 4 endometriosis and immediately organised for scans and an operation to remove it. He was kind, patient and extremely efficient. After the operation he explained everything he had done and showed me pictures which really helped me to understand it all. I can’t thank him enough for his care and would highly recommend him to other endometriosis sufferers!!

Mr Arambage is the epitome of an excellent doctor. He is kind, caring and extremely skilful. He treated my daughter for Stage IV endometriosis using excision surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital. This was emergency surgery during the Covid 19 crisis. From the minute he met her, he adopted a holistic approach, caring for her physical and mental welfare, and he has followed up regularly since the surgery. He always listens to what she has to say. All in all, everything a consultant should be and we would recommend him wholeheartedly.

I hugely appreciate Dr. Arambage for his guidance and patience. I developed fibroids within the cavity that resulted in severe pain and bleeding. Under Dr. Arambage's vigilance I was able to have a quick surgery. During the process and my stay in the hospital, the doctor personally explained me the process and assured me that this procedure would help me get me back my normal routine. I was relived when the doctor met again after my the surgery and was confident on my recovery. I am glad that I was treated by Dr. Arambage and would sincerely thank him for making this experience as smooth as possible.

I was recently under Mr Arambage's care at the end of March and just before we went into lockdown due to Covid-19. These were (and continue to be) challenging times. My surgery was prioritised and I went in for my operation very quickly after my initial consultation. Throughout this, Mr Arambage was very supportive, considerate and took care to advise me of the risks of undertaking surgery when the hospital was subject to restrictions because of Covid, in addition to the risk pertaining to my condition. He really is an excellent doctor who I would not hesitate to recommend. I had a full debrief of the surgery both in the hospital and a detailed follow up consultation. This has been very helpful and appreciated during quite a stressful time. In terms of the surgery itself, I am still astounded in terms of the work Mr Arambage did - which included him reconstructing part of my ovary and treating my endometriosis. Throughout this, he has been a very thoughtful and understanding doctor. It is clear that he is very passionate about his work and cares for his patients.

I was seen by Mr Arambage after being referred by another consultant due to my stage 4 endometriosis. He took time to listen to the problems that it was causing me and as a result of my symptoms my family. The final decision was for me to have a full hysterectomy. He went over what was going to happen in the procedure and we arranged it for a time that would suit me. On the day of my operation he came and explained to me and my husband exactly what he planned to do. He came and spoke to my husband after the operation and gave him an update. I was discharged the day after and my wounds have healed to the point that you cannot tell I've had a cut to my belly button. As I have had issues with my stomach and back muscles Mr Arambage is going to refer me to a physio to work on them and my pelvic floor muscles.

Mr. K. Arambage is one of the finest consultants I have met throughout the history of my illness. He is an 'old school doctor' which is rare to come across in present times. He is kind, patient and some who would take time to listen to and understand everything you’re going through. The knowledge and expertise that he processes is second to none. He has truly changed my life around and practically cured me of my stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. His advice and treatment plans have avoided me from having surgery. He's someone that will try his very best to explore all possible avenues before offering any invasive treatment such as surgery. I am always treated like a superstar during our appointments :) and feel I get the very best out of our time. What’s not to like about that! :D I would highly recommend this wonderful doctor!

Dr Arambage listened to all my concerns and did not brush them under the rug as I have had happen previously due to my age. He performed a diagnostic laparoscopy that went smoothly and he came round and explained the procedure previously and after the surgery. He has been a great doctor and could not recommend him more

Mr Arambage has a fantastic bedside manner. A great listener who takes the time to make sure you understand his treatment plan. He not only visited me twice post-surgery to see how I was doing and make sure I was up to speed about what actually happened during surgery, he also rang my family personally whilst I was in the recovery room to update them on my progress. He leaves patients feeling safe and confident in his care.

This is my second operation in the last two years to cure Endomitriosis. Mr Arambage took special care throughout the process starting from pre consultation to the actual procedure. The after care has also been very thorough with proper support from Physiotherapists and nurses at the Manor. He has been very attentive and has made the procedure as seamless as possible. After the operation he has taken time out to explain the procedure and what actions he has taken, providing reassurance to the family. Overall I can feel the difference from my last procedure. Thanks to Mr Arambage and his team for such great care and attention.

Mr Arambage was my surgeon for a recent laparoscopy and he was absolutely amazing. He listened to what me and my husband wanted to happen and followed our wishes. I trusted him all the way through and knew he was acting in our best interests. I would definitely recommend him and also his secretary Fiona has been extremely helpful answering all our questions very promptly.

I have been extremely fortunate to have eventually found myself in the care of Mr Arambage, many years into my endometriosis journey. Having previously been told by my diagnosing specialist that surgery would be too risky I was naturally apprehensive when Mr Arambage proposed it. Thanks to his high level skill and experience he has performed the surgery without a problem. His humane nature, gentle sense of humour and how he listens to and understands individual patients is valuable and I quickly found I could ask or raise whatever I needed. All the nursing staff and colleagues spoke highly of working with him which supports my resounding endorsement.

Kirana Arambage operated on me to treat symptoms of endometriosis that I’ve had for 8+ years. I had a laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, which I have to say, within a month of surgery I have already noticed a difference. I had no mid cycle pain (which has previously been very troublesome), I didn’t even register that my period was coming! No pain! Wow! I don’t mind in sounding cliche in saying that Mr Arambage’s operating on me has literally changed my life. Within 3 weeks I’ve returned to work by commuting in on my bicycle, to feeling a young, healthy 27 year old (what I should be like) which is exactly the result I wanted! On the day of my surgery I was overwhelmed with the professionalism of Mr Arambage and his team. He treated me with dignity and respect. Despite finishing his operating list into the later hours of the evening he came to see me, with a smile and calmness on his face, and made me feel at ease. Thank you Mr Arambage.

After suffering with my constant pain with heavy periods, Endometriosis and painful sex I am finally cured thanks to Dr Kirana Arambage. It has been a long few years with this horrible pain. After many appointments to doctors asking for help I was told to take contraceptive pill or to be fitted with a coil. As I did not need contraceptives I was quite upset as my husband had a vasectomy after my second was born. Anyway I went on to have a coil fitted and this was not plain sailing as for some. Moving forward I thought this cannot be my life! I called my GP and said I would like to be referred to BUPA. I got a letter through and rang BUPA and they gave me a list of consultants I could see. I went on google and done some research and found Dr Kirana Arambage had great reviews and had treated people with symtoms like me. I called and made a appointment. I was seen quickly and I sat and spoke and everything was heard. I wasn't been fobbed off. Few months later I have had a Hysterectomy to remove painful Endometriosis and other female organs which will help me be a happier person. I cannot that my consultant enough. As for The Manor in Oxfordshire they provided me with the best care. Thank you to all.

I had a very serious case of endometriosis and I was on medication constantly for the past 3 years. It affected my life so bad and so much in so many ways that I don't want to think of it. After I saw Dr. Arambage I felt that finally after 5 years someone listened to me and understood the situation. He scheduled me for a laparoscopy and he took care of every detail, studying my case carefully, assessing it correctly, assembling all the doctors that were necessary, including a urologist to put stents in order to avoid damage to my (previously hurt) ureters, arranged the cleaning of my bladder (that wasn't treated in a previous surgery 7 years ago in Greece) and overall, gave me my life back. I wish I had met him 5 years ago. Not to mention that he arranged immediately for the removal of the stents as NHS managed to completely forgot to arrange the appointment after I was dismissed from the hospital. I have been calling various services in NHS and nobody seemed to know what to do. When I reached out to Dr. Arambage, he responded within less than 2 hours and the problem was solved the very next day as an appointment was arranged for a week later. If I did I may have still been able to have a child. Dr. Arambage is a great doctor and I feel lucky that he was the one that treated me. I can recommend him and I consider him as one of the best gynecologist and surgeons at least in UK
