Professor Ley Sander is a leading consultant neurologist and Clinical Lead for epilepsy at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, which is part of the University College London NHS Foundation Trust.
 
Professor Sander is an academic neurologist, whose main research interest is in the epilepsies, including epidemiology and outcomes, surgical treatment and genetics. His academic job is at the UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London.
 
He is also the Medical Director of the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy, Epilepsy Society and he is the R&D Director of Stichting Epilepsie Instellingen Nederland (SEIN), Heemstede, The Netherlands.
