Ms Monica Fawzy is a renowned consultant plastic surgeon with private practices in London, and Essex who has years of leading expertise.
She has an NHS sub specialist clinical interest in microsurgery, head and neck reconstruction and facial palsy surgery. Ms Fawzy also has expertise in cosmetic surgery, which includes expertise gained while on an international year-long fellowship in Paris, France, as well as several international visits to Europe and the US. Her range of expertise is not limited to facial surgery, and includes fat transfer to the face and breast, facelift, eyelid surgery, and body contouring. She also provides paediatric services.
Ms Fawzy went to medical school in Bristol before teaching anatomy at Oxford University and Guys Hospital in London. After this, she underwent basic surgical training in Southampton and then specialised in plastic surgery in the Oxford and Cambridge regions, which was followed by a fellowship in Craniofacial surgery in Paris and a Microsurgery fellowship in Cambridge.
Her level of expertise has brought her to be the lead of Norwich Hospital's divisional governance lead for surgery for two years, and she was elected by her fellow plastic surgeons to represent the East of England as Council Member on the Board of the Association of British Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), a role she will hold until the end of 2020.
