Dr Naren Basu is a highly revered consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon who specialises in breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast cancer, breast cancer surgery, breast asymmetry, breast uplift, and mammaplasty. 

Dr Basu currently serves as the lead consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, specialising exclusively in breast care, breast cancer surgery, and related issues. As an oncoplastic surgeon, he skillfully combines plastic surgery techniques with breast cancer procedures to enhance aesthetic results while ensuring effective disease management. He also practises privately at The Harborne Hospital.

He graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital in London and completed his surgical training at several esteemed hospitals throughout the city. During his medical education, he pursued an additional degree in Tumour Biology at University College London, graduating with first-class honours.

While undergoing advanced surgical training, he also earned a Master’s degree from Imperial College London, focusing on technological innovations in surgery and their multidisciplinary implementation. Naren is dedicated to training the next generation of plastic and breast surgeons both nationally and internationally. Additionally, he holds the role of honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham, where he contributes to the education of future medical professionals.
