Mr Nicholas Strouthidis is a leading expert in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma as well as cataract surgery, particularly in patients with glaucoma. He has special interest and expertise in the management of complex and secondary glaucoma, as well as glaucoma revision surgery.
Mr Nicholas Strouthidis is an outstanding clinician as well as serving on numerous professional boards and being at the cutting edge of ophthalmological research. He co-manages the only clinic in the UK that provides combined glaucoma and corneal keratoprosthesis surgery, and has developed and adopted the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of glaucoma, such as Xen implantation surgery.
Mr Nicholas Strouthidis has been active in the field for 20 years, is a trustee for the International Glaucoma Association, and has academic appointments at prestigious institutions both nationally and internationally. He is devoted to providing training, is a funded clinician-scientist at the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical articles.
