Dr Ray Shidrawi is a respected consultant gastroenterologist based in London. His private practice is based at the Wellington Hospital. He specialises in interventional endoscopy, including procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), which uses ultrasound from within the intestines themselves. Dr Shidrawi also treats hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and pancreaticobiliary disorders, as well as obesity.
Dr Shidrawi graduated from the University of London (Guy's Hospital), and remained in the London area as he completed his training in gastroenterology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the European Board of Gastroenterology. He is a research reviewer for the Clinical Nutrition Journal and is on the editorial board for the Complete Nutrition Journal.
