Dr Rex Melville is a highly experienced consultant genito-urinary (sexual health) physician who practises privately within The London Dermatology Centre. He possesses expertise in conditions such as sexually transmitted infections, sexual dysfunction, HIV, as well as genital dermatology. 

Dr Melville undertook his medical studies in Australia, completing an MBBS at the Melbourne-based Monash University. Shortly after, he obtained a fellowship from the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine. The UK then beckoned, where he first arrived in 1993, when he took up the position as locum lead consultant physician in sexual health and HIV at Barts Hospital in London. Soon after, he was appointed consultant GUM physician at Whipps Cross Hospital in North East London, a position which he held until 2016. Dr Melville was also granted a fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians London (FRCP) in 2005.

Dr Melville is vastly experienced when it comes to advising and guiding patients with symptoms of sexually transmitted illnesses and all sexual-related concerns. He also provides his expertise in relation to HIV infection testing, diagnosis and treatment. Dr Melville, who is fully accredited with the General Medical Council, can discuss each patient's concerns, offer a discreet, thorough genital exmaination, and discuss diagnosis and possible treatments. Results of any tests taken can be provided to patients promptly and confidentially, usually within a few days.
