Mr Robert Lee is a highly esteemed consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon based in London, with over 25 years of dedicated experience. He specialises in an extensive range of spinal conditions and interventions, and often receives referrals of highly complex cases and patients requiring revision surgery.

Before qualifying in medicine, Mr Lee achieved a first class honours degree in orthopaedic science in 1996. He subsequently graduated as a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery with first class honours in 1999. He was appointed as a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2003 and later as a fellow of the trauma and orthopaedics section in 2008. As part of his training, Mr Lee also completed a highly esteemed combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic spine fellowship in Vancouver, Canada. He is one of a handful of UK surgeons who practices the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques and computer-navigated spine surgery. Mr Lee has served as a consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital for a number of years. He sees private patients at The Wellington Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Mr Lee continues to be actively involved in research. He has published numerous academic articles throughout his career and regularly presents at key national and international conferences. In addition, Mr Lee serves as national lead of the British Spine Registry and as an executive committee member for the British Association of Spinal Surgeons. He is also an appointed member of a number of key professional bodies, including the Scoliosis Research Society and the Spine Society of Europe.

Mr Lee regularly teaches and trains the next generation of spinal surgeons. Throughout his esteemed career, his specialist skill and expertise have been recognised with various awards, including the Fitton Prize in Orthopaedics and runner-up for the prestigious University of London Gold Medal in 1999. He was also featured in Tatler’s Top 250 Doctors Guide in 2013.
