Mr Sidath Liyanage is a highly respected and experienced ophthalmologist in Bristol, who specialises in vitreoretinal surgery, refractive lens exchange, implantable contact lenses, cataract surgery, medical retina and laser vision correction. He is a consultant at Vision Care Clinic, a centre dedicated to ophthalmologic excellence and Bristol Eye Hospital.
He qualified from University College London Medical School with a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery degree, having received awards in his final year for surgery. histopathology, cardiology and chest medicine. He later went on to achieve fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, before achieving his PhD from University College London Institute of Ophthalmology.
