Mr Simon Lambert is one of London's most reputable orthopaedic surgeons who specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery. He has over 30 years of experience and sees patients at The Orthopaedic Centre at The Princess Grace Hospital and The Wellington Hospital Elstree Waterfront.
 
Mr Lambert previously held the role of consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the University College London Hospital in 2017 where he undertook complex and revision reconstruction of difficult conditions of the shoulder and elbow.

His specific clinical interests are the evaluation and management of acute trauma of the shoulder and elbow; the reconstruction of post-traumatic deformity (malunion) and non-union (with and without infection) of the shoulder and elbow; neuromuscular disorders of the shoulder and elbow (including the upper extremity sequelae of Erbs Palsy, so-called Sprengel shoulder, and muscular dystrophy); complex soft tissue reconstructions (including muscle transfers) for rotator cuff disease and instability of the shoulder and elbow; complex and revision joint replacement and rehabilitation for the shoulder and elbow.
 
Mr Lambert obtained his medical degree from Charing Cross Medical School in 1984. He pursued comprehensive orthopaedic training in London through a rotational programme and further honed his expertise with a fellowship in Switzerland. In 1996, he assumed the role of consultant at the University Hospital of Southampton. His notable achievements include being awarded a prestigious North American Travelling Fellowship by the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow in 1998.
 
Mr Lambert demonstrates a passionate commitment to research in diverse orthopaedic fields, with a focus on elbow replacement and musculocutaneous nerve anatomy, boasting a substantial portfolio of over 100 publications in renowned medical journals. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he dedicates considerable energy to education, designing specialised courses for general practitioners, emphasising shoulder and elbow examinations, and effective patient referral strategies. His dedication to teaching is evidenced by prestigious honours, such as being named Trainer of the Year by the Wessex Regional Training Programme for 2000–2001.
