Professor Sir John Cunningham is a leading consultant physician and nephrologist based in London. He was head of the medical household and physician to the Queen for nine years from 2005-2014 before being knighted at Buckingham Palace and awarded with a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO).

Professor Sir Cunningham’s early training was at both Cambridge and Oxford Universities, with postgraduate training at The University of London and Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, USA.

He is currently professor of nephrology at UCL Medical School, consultant nephrologist at the Royal Free Hospital and The London Clinic, and physician at King Edward VII Hospital, London.
