Dr Viviana Porcari is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 15 years of specialist experience. Practising in east London, Dr Porcari sees young people from the age of 5 to 18 presenting with a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, eating disorders, and autism spectrum disorder.
Dr Porcari originally qualified in Medicine in Italy then completed her specialised training in 2005, going on to pursue a fellowship at the Trauma centre in Boston University. For the past twelve years she has held the post of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. During this time she has served as CAMHS Clinical Director for the Trust and won four points of NHS Clinical Excellence Awards for her outstanding work and leadership. Dr Porcari is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford and Visiting Professor in Psychiatry for Pavia University, Italy.
