Trigeminal neuralgia – how ‘the worst pain known to man’ can be managed
Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which is located on the face. It is described as being brief, short-lasting episodes of pain that are electrical or stabbing in nature in one or more divisions of the trigeminal nerve on the face. This is an extremely debilitating condition and it is one that Dr Jim Blackburn, a pain medicine specialist, is an expert in diagnosing and treating.
