Preventing the development of peripheral vascular disease
Peripheral vascular disease is a condition affecting the body's vascular system where arteries become narrower and consequently blood flow is reduced. We invited leading consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon Mr Mohamed Abdelhamid to explain what factors make someone at high risk of developing the condition and what role exercise can play in preventing, and even reversing, the development of peripheral vascular disease.
