Ultrasonic cavitation

What is ultrasound-assisted liposuction?

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) is used to eliminate fat deposits from the body without surgery. It is a painless technique with immediate effects. With UAL, the professional can reshape the body’s general contour and eliminate problems such as cellulitis.

Ultrasound specifically targets fat, which is then eliminated by the body.

Why is it done?

The primary advantage of UAL is that it eliminates fat deposits in a non-invasive manner, i.e. without surgery.

UAL is used to treat the thighs, hips, arms and abdomen. By applying ultrasound, it is possible to eliminate excess fat and at the same time rejuvenate the skin’s appearance.

What does it involve?

Ultrasound waves are used to destroy fat cells without resorting to surgery. The ultrasound waves vibrate at a specific frequency, and resonance effects lead to the formation of microbubbles, which finally explode, breaking the targeted structure in a selective manner.

An analogy is that of soprano opera singers who can break a glass with their voice. In this case, the soprano sings a low-energy note at a specific frequency that matches the resonance frequency of the glass, which eventually causes it to break. In the case of fat cells, the required frequency is between 37 and 42 kHz. When the above-mentioned bubbles implode, fat is released and spontaneously eliminated via the lymphatic system.

The treatment is completely painless and non-invasive and takes from ¾ to 1 hour. For optimal results, it is recommended to have 10 to 12 sessions over a period of fewer than 3 months.

During the course of treatment, the doctor will recommend that you follow a high-protein diet and drink a lot of water to help eliminate fat.

Preparation and post-operative care

You will have to undergo a medical examination to detect any abnormalities and to determine whether UAL is suitable for you.

During the entire course of treatment, it is recommended that you pursue a healthy diet, high in calories if possible, and drink a lot of water. Exercise is also recommended, again to help eliminate fat.
