Mr Hatch Achyut Mukherjee is an internationally recognised expert Colchester-based consultant ophthalmologist. Mr Mukherjee specialises in personalised laser eye surgery, cataract treatment, multifocal cataract surgery (including LASIK eye surgery and implantable contact lens), corneal transplant, and glaucoma management.
Mr Mukherjee is one of a handful of surgeons internationally to attain 3 full additional fellowships after completing UK training, in laser and refractive surgery, corneal transplant surgery and glaucoma. He also possesses expert knowledge in keratoconus, cornea transplant and pterygium, which was honed during this training period.
Furthermore, Mr Mukherjee obtained fellowship level training in glaucoma & MIGS at Cambridge, Cardiff & King College Hospital London. He is a leading innovator & expert in laser corneal transplant and regularly teaches both UK & overseas surgeons new minimally invasive techniques. He also undertook fellowship level training and as post as a locum consultant Kings College Hospital , London.
