Dr Antony Higginson is a consultant gastrointestinal radiologist in Portsmouth whose areas of expertise are in gastro-intestinal radiology, bariatric radiology, bowel disease, appendicitis, bowel cancer, rectal cancer, oesophageal and gastric cancer.
Dr Higginson graduated from Bristol University Medical School in 1991 and progressed through anaesthetic, medical and radiology training in the Midlands to gain his consultant certificate in 2001. He is subspecialised in imaging and intervention of the gastrointestinal system.
Dr Higginson has particular skills in ultrasound of the abdomen and as a result runs courses and training for many other doctors and ultrasound practitioners from all over the UK. He was appointed as a travelling professor for the RCR and BSGAR in 2019 to 2021.
