Professional statement
Miss Carolyn Chadwick is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in foot and ankle surgery. She provides expert care for both trauma and elective conditions affecting the foot and ankle in adults.
Miss Chadwick graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1998 and completed her surgical and orthopaedic training across Sheffield and the South Yorkshire region, balancing her medical career with raising her two children. She went on to undertake specialist fellowship training at the Brisbane Foot and Ankle Centre in Australia, working under the guidance of Dr Terry Saxby in 2010–2011.
On returning to the UK, she was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield in 2012. She continues to practise as part of the highly regarded Sheffield Foot and Ankle Unit, where she is actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
In addition to her clinical and teaching commitments, Miss Chadwick contributes to research in her field, presenting her work nationally and internationally and publishing in several peer-reviewed journals.
