Miss Clare Schilling

Miss Clare Schilling is a distinguished consultant maxillofacial surgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant conditions affecting the face, mouth, salivary glands, and neck. Miss Schilling’s clinical interests encompass facial lesions, head and neck cancer, neck lumps, and salivary gland diseases. She is highly skilled in cancer surgery, facial reconstruction, flap surgery, fracture fixation, laser surgery, and reconstructive procedures. 

She holds a medical degree from Imperial College and a dentistry degree from King’s College London. During her specialist surgical training, she completed a PhD focused on the early detection of metastasis in oral cancer, further cementing her commitment to advancing care in this area. She completed a prestigious head and neck fellowship in London, performing complex reconstructive and microvascular surgeries. Currently, she holds an honorary associate professorship at University College London Head and Neck Academic Centre and has secured over £1 million in research funding from the National Institute of Health Research.

Miss Schilling is internationally recognised for her expertise in sentinel node biopsy for oral cancer and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
