Dr David Crocker

Dr David Crocker is the Medical Director of Caledonian Psychiatry and an Associate Specialist Psychiatrist at Edinburgh Adult Psychiatry, one of Scotland's leading independent psychiatric practices. He specialises in ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, sleep disorders and stress-related conditions within general adult psychiatry.

Dr Crocker has been working in adult psychiatry since 2018, with ADHD and autism in adults becoming his primary clinical focus since 2023. He has conducted over 5,300 appointments across more than 1,000 patients, spanning neurodevelopmental and general psychiatric presentations. All clinical care is delivered personally without delegation, ensuring continuity and a consistent therapeutic relationship throughout treatment.

Caledonian Psychiatry, headquartered in North Berwick, East Lothian, is Scotland's first independent medical agency to be regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland (registration number 03427). All appointments are delivered by secure video link, so patients can be seen anywhere in the UK.

Dr Crocker studied at the University of St Andrews (BSc, 2008) and King's College London, graduating with honours (MBBS, 2013). He achieved membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2022 and holds a Diploma in Expedition Medicine (DipExpMed, 2018) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He maintains full GMC registration with a licence to practise (GMC 7411382).

Patient feedback collected using the validated CARE Measure shows a mean score of 4.96 out of 5.0 based on 61 responses, placing him in approximately the top 1 to 2 per cent of UK doctors for patient-rated consultation skills.

For transparency, Dr Crocker is not on the GMC Specialist Register and does not use the title Consultant Psychiatrist. His career has concentrated on hands-on clinical work, and patients receive thorough, evidence-based psychiatric care delivered personally by an experienced senior doctor.
