Dr Deepanjali Choudhury is a distinguished private portfolio GP with an interest and specialisation in allergy (adult and paediatric) based in Bedfordshire, as well as remotely. Her main areas of interest include allergy, paediatrics, lifestyle medicine and menopause, as well as weight loss and dermatology.
Dr Choudhury graduated with a Bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery (MB BS) in 2003 from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Karnataka, India. Following her medical studies in India, she moved to the UK. In 2013 she successfully completed a post graduate certificate in dermatology and a masters in allergy from Imperial College London in 2018.
Dr Choudhury began to see her patients remotely during the pandemic and has continued to do so since, permitting her patients to be able to see her in an efficient and effective manner. Alongside treating allergy patients, Dr Choudhury practises in general primary care and allergies, as well as general paediatrics.
She is devoted to improving standards of allergy care, working to promote conversations between clinicians and patients through her role as co-chair of the ‘Choose Wisely’ initiative in the UK. She also works with the British Society of Clinical Allergy and Immunology, as part of their standards of care committee.
