Dr Edward Bloomfield

Dr Edward Bloomfield is an excellent consultant psychologist and mentalisation based therapy practitioner and analyst based in London. Treating a wide variety of mental health issues, he specialises in anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. He works in a safe space where his patients can learn to understand their thought process and why they feel the way they do. He then uses his experience and training to tailor a strategy for each individual to help them work towards their goals for personal change.

Dr Bloomfield graduated from the Royal Holloway (University of London) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1992. He went on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southampton, and later a Masters in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies from the University of Essex, awarded with Distinction. He is also an accredited practitioner in cognitive analytic therapy.

With over 20 years' experience working as a senior clinician in the NHS and in private practice, Dr Bloomfield believes in listening with an open mind to understand each of his patients' situations and how he can best help them. He is also an expert in cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) and psychoanalysis.
