Dr Ganesh Suntharalingam is a highly respected intensive care consultant and anaesthetist based in London.
Dr Suntharalingam qualified in medicine from the University of Cambridge Medical School in 1991 and then went on to train as a specialist anaesthetist. He was appointed as a consultant in 1999 and is a fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine. He has held a number of senior positions throughout his esteemed career, including medical lead and director of critical care and anaesthetics at North West London Hospitals NHS Trust and is a former president and honorary secretary of the Intensive Care Society (ICS).
Dr Suntharalingam is widely credited for his expert care which contributed to the successful recovery of a group of patients who became critically ill after volunteering in a medical trial. He was awarded an OBE in 2021 in recognition of his contributions to the medical field.
