Mr Gerald Hackett is a leading consultant gynaecologist based in Cambridge with more than twenty years of experience. Whilst Mr Hackett cares for women with many different gynaecological conditions, he specialises in menstrual disorders, fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and the menopause. He has particular expertise in performing minimally-invasive procedures via hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. He is recognised by the British Menopause Society as a Menopause Specialist and Principle Trainer and oversees he NHS Menopause Clinic in Cambridge taking referrals from around the region.
Further to his clinical commitments, Mr Hackett leads the Women's Ambulatory Services for the Cambridge University Teaching Hospitals and lectures at the University of Cambridge as well. He has been active in research, and in introducing the latest techniques and therapies in both NHS and private sectors. Having also been an obstetric specialist until recently he continues to provide medico-legal advice in this area.
