Dr Gino Vissers

Dr Gino Vissers is a triple board-certified, award-winning consultant plastic surgeon based in London, specialising in facelifts, eyelid surgery, brow lifts, lip lifts, mole removal, neck lifts, skin cancer surgery, and ear surgery.

Dr Vissers completed his medical training in Belgium and qualified from Antwerp University – from which he was also awarded a Doctorate in Medicine in 2016. He undertook further specialist training in institutions across Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. He has undertaken diploma courses and programmes in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Antwerp University, Stellenbosch University and Radboud University. Dr Vissers obtained a Dermoscopy postgraduate at Cardiff University, and a certificate in Hand Surgery at KU Leuven. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum, and the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Vissers holds the post of substantive consultant at St George’s University Hospital in London, and has served as a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at St George’s University, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Antwerp University, as well as London's Pan Thames plastic surgery training programme. He previously was the student representative for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Antwerp University and secretary of Belgian Residents in Plastic Surgery. Dr Vissers partakes in volunteering projects across Uganda, and India. Dr Vissers is highly involved in undergraduate and post-graduate education. He trains and evaluates resident doctors.

In addition to his clinical and training duties, Dr Vissers is an accomplished researcher and author with several papers in his name that have been published and presented internationally, such as with the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetics Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery, the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand, the American Societe for Surgery of the Hand, the Société Française de Chirurgie de la Main, and in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the British Journal of Surgery, the Journal of Hand Surgery. He has been recognised for his research work with the Editor’s Award in 2022.
