Mr James Edward Self

Mr James Self is an extremely experienced ophthalmologist who is based in Southampton. He dedicates his time to oculo-genetics, paediatric cataract and paediatric nystagmus services at University Hospital Southampton. Mr Self is also also a senior lecturer and examiner at the University of Southampton and has various associated teaching and research roles. Mr Self is an advisor to INvision research and has formally advised the Nystagmus Network charity. He is currently a board member of the charity Gift of Sight and also works with local and national community groups, as well as schools to promote public awareness and engagement in science.
