- It was only a consultation but it was a very good meetingDoctor's response -I am grateful for your comment - the consultation is the key and I am glad we had a good meeting. The aim is to build trust. Whilst it is obvious that we want to build our patients' trust in us, it is little considered that we also want to achieve some trust in the patient. Sensible patients make sensible decisions, and sensible judgements. Particularly in the area of discretionary surgery which improves quality of life and confidence in appearance, the judgement of the patient is so very important. Thank you for coming along, listening, and also being honest in the conversation, so that we can make good judgements together and achieve good care! See you soon and thank you for taking the time - not 'only a consultation'.. Jonathan, Karen and team
- Amazing results, clear explanations of expectations and results, exemplary care for his patients.Doctor's response -Thank you for these lovely observations. We are thrilled to be trusted for the care that we give, and we really understand the faith it takes to choose this type of restorative surgery and medical care in our hands. Great outcomes are only possible when there is good partnership between surgeon and patient - an understanding of what will create a happy result. Thank you for your trust, and for taking the time to post - we really appreciate the support. Jonathan, Karen and team
- Happy. Not an emotion I often feel. Content. Satisfied. Often grateful. But happy? Not really. You know that kind of walking on air, singing in the rain, smiling at a parking ticket hung on your windscreen kind of happy? It’s a rare breed of happy. And not the type I’ve felt for a very long time. But that’s the kind of happy I’ve been feeling since Mr. Jonathan Britto ‘refreshed’ my tired, sagging face. A facelift, by any other name, my initial concern was not wanting to emerge from surgery looking as though my face had been through a wind-tunnel. Mr. Britto assured me I would not leave surgery looking that way; that I would still look like myself and that the ‘wind-swept’ look wasn’t his approach to facelifts in any case. He explained in detail which deep layers (planes) of facial muscle he would adjust. His highly honed surgical skills and aesthetic judgement and understanding of balance and symmetry achieved precisely what I wanted; what I asked him for and, what I’m so happy about. Being and feeling heard and understood serve as powerful connectors between people. I believe Mr. Britto has this capacity, innately. Post-surgical care was as attentive, explanatory and genuinely patient-focused as it was in the lead-up to surgery. Removal of dressings occurred a week after surgery. Three-month, six-month and 12-month follow-up appointments were provided immediately following surgery. At no point did I feel ‘on my own’ or without support. For many individuals having a facelift is a major undertaking. It requires the patient to take a leap of faith in the surgeon and involves placing considerable trust in the surgeon’s words and in his skills. Mr. Britto is an exacting, exceedingly competent and gifted surgeon. He’s also an honest, warm and likeable man. I had no difficulty trusting him. In turn, Mr. Britto reciprocated my trust and gave me a refreshed face I’m happy about.Doctor's response -This is a most generous review, and we are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to post. Thank you so much for your incredible honesty and the warmth and facility with which you write. We are most humbled, and also delighted that you describe the impact of this type of surgery so beautifully. Facelift surgery is deeply 'medical' - it provides well-being, confidence in appearance, which brings confidence in performance, and happiness. This is the epitome of health. Thank you so much for sharing it. with every good wish, Jonathan, Karen and team
- Struggling to find comments or suggestions because care was very goodDoctor's response -Well - that is about the best comment to make! Thank you! Jonathan Britto, Consultant Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon
- My experience of my ‘Twilight’ procedure with Jonathan was amazing! It was just like he promised, a spa treatment! I was comfortable throughout the procedure, I felt relaxed & warm, enjoyed the background music I could hear , it was completely pain free & love my result already!Doctor's response -A 'Spa' treatment! Such a lovely observation. Thank you so much. The beauty of today's aesthetic surgery and twilight anaesthesia is that it is so incredibly precise and professionally proficient that we can deliver a 'spa experience' from a very technical and highly professional surgery. Dial back a few years, and the result that you already love would have required general anaesthetic, an overnight stay in hospital, and a week of downtime.. I am thrilled that you are happy already, and very complimented that you have taken the time to post. See you in clinic soon! Jonathan Britto, consultant plastic and craniofacial surgeon
- My whole experience with Mr Jonathan Britto has been excellent throughout. From the start I felt at ease and all my questions addressed with warmth. The quality of care I received from consultation to surgery and afterwards by Mr Britto and all the staff has been impressive.Doctor's response -Thank you for this lovely testimonial. We are glad that you felt 'at ease throughout' and that you were greeted with warmth and welcome. It is our pleasure to put you, our patient, at the centre of everything we do. I'm so happy that you have felt this and taken the time to write - thank you! Jonathan Britto, consultant plastic and craniofacial surgeon.
- Mr Britto was very professional, courteous and respectful whenever I visited him. His passion for excellent results made my decision so much easier in choosing him to carry out my procedure. He gave as much time and energy in post-op appointments as the pre-op appointmentsDoctor's response -Thank you for this thoughtful review. We are so happy that our 'passion for excellence' has been evident to you. Our care is complete, from outset to full healing - so happy that you have taken time to post. Thank you! Jonathan Britto, consultant plastic surgeon
- My experience with ‘twilight’ sedation was extremely positive. I read about it before the operation and knew that it I would feel relaxed, and the recovery would be much easier than from general anesthesia. In reality it went much better than I expected. I was given the drug just before the procedure and felt like falling asleep but being aware of what was going on. I heard the surgeons talk to each other and give me instructions to open/close eyes. I didn’t feel any pain and lost count of time, I felt at ease, like my mind was floating somewhere. I remember being transferred to recovery area and nurses taking care of me. When I was fully awake, I thought the operation took 30-40 min, while it actually lasted 2.5 hours. I didn’t feel any negative effects of the sedation and I was fit to go home in a couple of hours. If I had to have another surgery in future I would definitely choose the ‘twilight’ anesthesiaDoctor's response -We are thrilled that you found the 'Twilight experience' so easy for your surgery. The 'Twilight technique' has made the experience of facial surgery so much easier for patients. Now we have years of surgical aesthetic and anaesthetic expertise combining to make a facelift or eyelid lift equivalent to a 'spa experience'. This is not to minimise the medical significance of such surgery. We have simply combined the principles of medical and surgical expertise with the finest hospital care, and the desire to provide a warm first class service - for total safety and fabulous outcomes but also the best possible service and experience of care. Thank you for taking the time to post and for describing your thoughts and experience of the Twilight technique. It is something I am very proud of, and I am thrilled that you thought to highlight this aspect of what we do. Thank you so very much. Jonathan & team, jonathanbritto.com
