My experience with ‘twilight’ sedation was extremely positive. I read about it before the operation and knew that it I would feel relaxed, and the recovery would be much easier than from general anesthesia. In reality it went much better than I expected. I was given the drug just before the procedure and felt like falling asleep but being aware of what was going on. I heard the surgeons talk to each other and give me instructions to open/close eyes. I didn’t feel any pain and lost count of time, I felt at ease, like my mind was floating somewhere. I remember being transferred to recovery area and nurses taking care of me. When I was fully awake, I thought the operation took 30-40 min, while it actually lasted 2.5 hours. I didn’t feel any negative effects of the sedation and I was fit to go home in a couple of hours. If I had to have another surgery in future I would definitely choose the ‘twilight’ anesthesia

Mr Britto has a lovely relaxed manner about him, he was able to put me at ease from the first time I met him. We were able to talk through my goals and agree on the best way to achieve them. Mr Britto was able to extrapolate meaning from my layman’s descriptions I gave him of the issues I had. I can’t fault the care I have received both prior to my surgery and post. At 6 weeks post revision septoplasty plus blepharoplsty combined, I am thrilled with my results, which will continue to get better over the next few months as the residual swelling subsides. I am looking forward to seeing Mr Britto again at the 6 month mark to discuss how things have progressed. Five stars!

Revision septorhinoplasty is one of the most challenging procedures, and it is a pleasure to be able to listen to an articulate patient describe what the aims are. Only with that level of understanding can we take the correct techniques and apply them safely. The conversation and communications of the 'analytic phase' are so important because that is what directs the technical skills to achieve a happy result. As the swelling in the nose recedes, we will see the shape and definition of the nose become ever more refined. I am also delighted that your breathing is so much better. I recently underwent facial surgery with mr Jonathan Britto. His professional approach throughout, from initial consultation to post surgery, instilled confidence. He also showed kindness and thoughtfulness in terms of my needs around the surgery and my emotions. He was also considerate and supportive of my financial capacity. The initial consultation was thorough and informative, and all my questions and concerns were listened to and addressed. He then contacted me again directly to ensure I was okay with everything going forward. I was. The surgery day was relaxed and Mr Britto spent time with me before surgery going through the process and checking that I was comfortable with everything. Surgery went well and Mr Britto was there post surgery to check in on me and ensure that I was good to go home that day. I was able to contact Mr Britto at any time with any concerns I had, and received almost immediate responses, including a video call so that Mr Britto was able to view/see my concern, and reassure me that my concern was a normal occurrence and gave advice on how to manage it. I have had my six week follow up, which went well, and Mr Britto has ensured me that I can contact him at any time with any concerns or questions. Overall I am extremely happy with Mr Britto, and my surgical procedure and process, and felt confident and comfortable and human (not just another procedure). Thank you

My experience with Mr Britto was nothing other than amazing. Hand on heart - this man and his clinic saved my life! I had been pushed from doctor to doctor before seeing Mr Britto, with none of the 5 I had seen, (3 at the surgery and 2 at A&E walk in) able to tell me exactly what was wrong. I lived week after week hating my appearance due to the ‘lesion’ on my lip, which would bleed dailyD I could not eat properly, didn’t want to go out or socialise because of it’s appearance. I would spend mornings laying in bed shaking every morning through not wanting to even go to work and face people, not knowing if this would ever go away of get worse and worse and no one being able to tell me what was even wrong with me. I was also told twice by the surgery that it could be cancer… my mind was a mess. I had anxiety attack after anxiety attack. Life lost its fun and the future completely lost any promise. Then I was put on to Mr Britto and within 13 days of seeing him - I was operated on and cured and my life has never felt better and more fun again. From the first appointment with Mr Britto I knew I was 100% in safe hands. He diagnosed my problem ‘pyogenic granuloma’ within seconds of looking at me. Something 5 doctors couldn’t do between them in nearly 2 months. Mr Britto talked me through everything from what would happen and how it would be after. On the day of the operation I felt so calm as I knew Mr Britto would make me better. I was nervous when I went down for the operation but immediately put at ease when I saw Mr Britto and he spoke to me and ironed out any concerns or questions that I had. He was so polite, understanding and reassuring - something I badly needed. The operation went absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better result. I’ve seen Mr Britto since for my follow up appointments and he has been just as good there as before. My lip is now getting back to normal by the way and you couldn’t even tell I’ve had an operation unless you looked closely and studied it. Every single part of it went as smooth as I could have ever asked for. I find it important to put this much information as this was the worst time of my life dealing with this problem, therefor I think the whole story is important, and for Mr Britto to completely solve it… I can’t actually find enough words to thank him. When I wasn’t speaking directly to Mr Britto, I was dealing with his clinic, in particular a lady named Jessica, who helped me book a time and date with Mr Britto and also answered all of my questions and worries in between and after. Jessica needs a mention in this as her care and speed on replying and communicating with me was exceptional. Talk about service… again, I couldn’t have asked for better and this reflected Mr Britto and his clinic as a whole. An absolute pleasure to have dealt with. Mr Britto also made me fully aware than the door was always open for me should I have any concerns at all. I honestly cannot praise this man enough. Jonathan and aesthetician Karen have been amazing. Always happy to answer questions and the after care is brilliant. Had filler for my frown line and what a difference it has made, very happy with the result. My skin quality is also much since having a face peel.

Mr Britto automatically puts you at ease, a calming man. There was no rush when I had my consultation. He takes his time, listens to everything you have to say and goes through every detail. So far I’m v. Pleased with my eyelid surgery a month post op. Thank you!
