Happy. Not an emotion I often feel. Content. Satisfied. Often grateful. But happy? Not really. You know that kind of walking on air, singing in the rain, smiling at a parking ticket hung on your windscreen kind of happy? It’s a rare breed of happy. And not the type I’ve felt for a very long time. But that’s the kind of happy I’ve been feeling since Mr. Jonathan Britto ‘refreshed’ my tired, sagging face. A facelift, by any other name, my initial concern was not wanting to emerge from surgery looking as though my face had been through a wind-tunnel. Mr. Britto assured me I would not leave surgery looking that way; that I would still look like myself and that the ‘wind-swept’ look wasn’t his approach to facelifts in any case. He explained in detail which deep layers (planes) of facial muscle he would adjust. His highly honed surgical skills and aesthetic judgement and understanding of balance and symmetry achieved precisely what I wanted; what I asked him for and, what I’m so happy about. Being and feeling heard and understood serve as powerful connectors between people. I believe Mr. Britto has this capacity, innately. Post-surgical care was as attentive, explanatory and genuinely patient-focused as it was in the lead-up to surgery. Removal of dressings occurred a week after surgery. Three-month, six-month and 12-month follow-up appointments were provided immediately following surgery. At no point did I feel ‘on my own’ or without support. For many individuals having a facelift is a major undertaking. It requires the patient to take a leap of faith in the surgeon and involves placing considerable trust in the surgeon’s words and in his skills. Mr. Britto is an exacting, exceedingly competent and gifted surgeon. He’s also an honest, warm and likeable man. I had no difficulty trusting him. In turn, Mr. Britto reciprocated my trust and gave me a refreshed face I’m happy about.

Struggling to find comments or suggestions because care was very good

My experience of my ‘Twilight’ procedure with Jonathan was amazing! It was just like he promised, a spa treatment! I was comfortable throughout the procedure, I felt relaxed & warm, enjoyed the background music I could hear , it was completely pain free & love my result already!

My whole experience with Mr Jonathan Britto has been excellent throughout. From the start I felt at ease and all my questions addressed with warmth. The quality of care I received from consultation to surgery and afterwards by Mr Britto and all the staff has been impressive.

My experience with ‘twilight’ sedation was extremely positive. I read about it before the operation and knew that it I would feel relaxed, and the recovery would be much easier than from general anesthesia. In reality it went much better than I expected. I was given the drug just before the procedure and felt like falling asleep but being aware of what was going on. I heard the surgeons talk to each other and give me instructions to open/close eyes. I didn’t feel any pain and lost count of time, I felt at ease, like my mind was floating somewhere. I remember being transferred to recovery area and nurses taking care of me. When I was fully awake, I thought the operation took 30-40 min, while it actually lasted 2.5 hours. I didn’t feel any negative effects of the sedation and I was fit to go home in a couple of hours. If I had to have another surgery in future I would definitely choose the ‘twilight’ anesthesia

Mr Britto has a lovely relaxed manner about him, he was able to put me at ease from the first time I met him. We were able to talk through my goals and agree on the best way to achieve them. Mr Britto was able to extrapolate meaning from my layman’s descriptions I gave him of the issues I had. I can’t fault the care I have received both prior to my surgery and post. At 6 weeks post revision septoplasty plus blepharoplsty combined, I am thrilled with my results, which will continue to get better over the next few months as the residual swelling subsides. I am looking forward to seeing Mr Britto again at the 6 month mark to discuss how things have progressed. Five stars!

I recently underwent facial surgery with mr Jonathan Britto. His professional approach throughout, from initial consultation to post surgery, instilled confidence. He also showed kindness and thoughtfulness in terms of my needs around the surgery and my emotions. He was also considerate and supportive of my financial capacity. The initial consultation was thorough and informative, and all my questions and concerns were listened to and addressed. He then contacted me again directly to ensure I was okay with everything going forward. I was. The surgery day was relaxed and Mr Britto spent time with me before surgery going through the process and checking that I was comfortable with everything. Surgery went well and Mr Britto was there post surgery to check in on me and ensure that I was good to go home that day. I was able to contact Mr Britto at any time with any concerns I had, and received almost immediate responses, including a video call so that Mr Britto was able to view/see my concern, and reassure me that my concern was a normal occurrence and gave advice on how to manage it. I have had my six week follow up, which went well, and Mr Britto has ensured me that I can contact him at any time with any concerns or questions. Overall I am extremely happy with Mr Britto, and my surgical procedure and process, and felt confident and comfortable and human (not just another procedure). Thank you
