Mr Julian Hickman-Casey is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmologist who specialises in glaucoma and cataract surgery, having performed more than 14,000 cataract operations. With over 25 years of consultant-level experience, his clinical expertise focuses on trabeculectomy, laser trabeculoplasty and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, such as iStents and Preserflo Microshunt, alongside high-risk cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses.
Mr Hickman-Casey is part of the renowned Sussex Premier Health group. Having originally qualified from King’s College and Westminster Medical School, Mr Hickman-Casey undertook his ophthalmology training at London’s most prestigious eye units, including St Thomas’ Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital. Mr Hickman-Casey, who is a fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, also served as investigator for the innovative Xalatan trial for glaucoma.
