Mr Karim Abdallah is an exceptional consultant gynaecologistin Sheffield, who specialises in endometriosis, menstrual disorders, laparoscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. He attends to patients at both Claremont Private Hospital and BMI Thornbury Hospital.
He is an expert in diagnosing and treating endometriosis related pelvic pain, as well as managing heavy and painful periods, and ovarian cysts. He offers a wide range of laparoscopic procedures including diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic removal of tubes and ovaries and laparoscopic sterilisation.
After achieving his master’s degree in Cairo, Egypt, Mr Abdallah travelled to Palermo, Italy, where he completed his second master’s degree in obstetrics and gynaecology. Upon moving to the UK, Mr Abdallah undertook training in minimal access surgery at a number of university teaching hospitals and district generals. The European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy recognised his efforts by awarding him a diploma in this speciality. Mr Abdallah also went on to gain membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
Mr Abdallah is experienced in hysteroscopic diagnosis and treatment of abnormal bleeding conditions, polypectomy procedures, Insertion and removal of coils and endometrial biopsies.
When not attending to patients, Mr Abdallah dedicates a large portion of his time to educating the next generation of gynaecologists. He is an honorary senior lecture at the University of Sheffield and a medical appraiser at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He leads a range of training courses for young gynaecologists.
