Dr Patel is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at St. George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Joint Clinical Governance Lead for quality and safety in the radiology department. Dr Patel is involved in postgraduate training, education, research, and audit and quality improvement. She graduated Medicine from Imperial College London in 2012 with a distinction in Medical Sciences, Clinical Science and Clinical Practice.
She then went on to complete radiology training at the Norfolk and Norwich and St. George’s University Hospitals. In 2018 she was awarded a visiting musculoskeletal radiology scholarship, by the European School of Radiology, to Florence, Italy. Dr Patel holds membership with the Royal College of Radiologists and British Society of Skeletal Radiologists.
She is skilled in cross sectional imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasound, delivering care to the highest level. She routinely performs diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, where she assesses and reports on the nature of the underlying problem and performs ultrasound guided procedures including, but not limited to, joint, tendon and soft tissue injections and cyst aspirations."
