Dr Marcella Fok is a consultant psychiatrist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst based in London. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity and personality issues, and other complex emotional challenges. She sees patients in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and her approach combines psychiatric and psychotherapeutic methods, focusing on understanding and supporting the whole person rather than only addressing symptoms.

Dr Fok trained in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and completed specialist Medical Psychotherapy training at the Maudsley, Halliwick Unit, and Tavistock Clinic. She holds a Research Doctorate from King’s College London, where she studied outcomes and service use in people with personality disorders. During her time as an NHS Consultant, she led specialist services and helped develop the Complex Emotional Needs Pathway in Westminster, which was Highly Commended at the 2021 UK National Mental Health Awards.
In private practice, Dr Fok offers a range of treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. She provides psychoanalytic therapy, Mentalization-Based Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, systemic therapy, CAT, and CBT. She is also an Anna Freud Centre–accredited MBT supervisor and supports clinicians through teaching and supervision. Her practice emphasises careful listening, understanding, and collaboration, helping patients work through complex emotional and psychological difficulties.
