Mr Mohammed Akbar Hussain

Mr Mohammed Akbar Hussain is a consultant neurosurgeon with a specialist focus on functional neurosurgery, pain surgery, and neuro-oncology. After earning his medical degree from Imperial College London, he returned to his hometown of Newcastle to complete his neurosurgical training in the North East. He attained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Neurosurgery and went on to pursue subspecialist training in Functional and Pain Surgery at the prestigious Walton Centre in Liverpool. Since 2018, he has held a Consultant post at the Royal Victoria Infirmary under the Newcastle NHS Foundation Trust.
