Dr Neel Desai is a leading consultant anaesthetist based in London, and has an outstanding reputation for providing patients with effective and safe care that is focused on them. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he is highly proficient in providing anaesthesia, including epidural, spinal, regional, sedation and general anaesthesia, for a wide range of surgical procedures, including cosmetic, general, gynaecological, obstetric, orthopaedic, plastic, urology and vascular procedures and operations. In particular, Dr Desai has considerable experience in total intravenous anaesthesia, resulting in a much improved and quicker recovery following surgical procedures and operations. He is an expert in regional anaesthesia, and is well skilled in providing pain relief for labour and anaesthesia for Caesarean sections.
Dr Desai graduated in medicine with honours from the University of Bristol in 2007 and then trained for a number of years in anaesthesia, completing advanced fellowships in obstetrics, paediatric retrieval, regional anaesthesia and vascular anaesthesia. He is a member of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia, Obstetrics Anaesthetists’ Association and the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Further, he received the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the Royal College of Physicians in 2011 and the European Diploma of Regional Anaesthesia in 2019. Dr Desai has a significant interest in medical education and is a honorary senior clinical lecturer at King’s College London.
