Mr Neil Haldar is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon based in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and London, specialising in robotic prostatectomy, uro-oncology, kidney cancer surgery, endourology, general adult urology and paediatric urology.
With over 25 years’ experience, Mr Haldar has performed more than 1,000 nerve-sparing radical prostatectomies and over 600 laparoscopic kidney operations. He is a recognised expert in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, delivering excellent clinical outcomes with faster recovery and reduced complications.
He pioneered the da Vinci robotic prostatectomy programme at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform single-incision laparoscopic nephrectomy. He is currently the lead urological cancer surgeon and lead for laparoscopic surgery within the Trust.
Mr Haldar treats a wide range of urological conditions including prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer, kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement and paediatric urological conditions. He also provides expert second opinions for complex cases and sees patients from across the UK and internationally.
He trained at King’s College Medical School and completed his specialist urological training in Oxford, followed by international fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic, USA and in Nantes, France.
